Hawaiian International Billfish Tournament
Ohana served as press boat in the 2013 HIBT and after 3 uneventful days covering the action, we had the opportunity to fish the final 2 days of the tournament due to mechanical problems on competing boats. Couldn’t get the fish to commit either day but next year will be a different story!
Congratulations to the Old South Marlin Club East Coast 1, who not only took the win on points, but also brought in the biggest fish of the tournament at 588 lbs. Kudos to Balboa Angling Club California and Solitary Islands Game Fishing Club of Australia for second and third place. And, way to go, J.B. for winning the Henry Chee award as Captain of the Silky.
