These are fried tacos with a tropical flair. You can use mahi mahi, ono, hebi or just about any white fish.

Ingredients
  1. 12 Corn Tortillas
  2. 1/2 pound fish cut into 1/2" x 6" strips
  3. 1/3 cup panko Japanese breadcrumbs
  4. 1/2 cup furikake rice seasoning
  5. 2 tsp. Garlic Powder
  6. 1 tsp. Ground Pepper
  7. 1 Egg Beaten
  8. 2 C. Vegetable Oil
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in medium-sized skillet until hot. Using tongs, dip each tortilla in hot oil briefly, turn once and drain excess grease. Keep warm in a folded towel while you fry the fish. Mix together panko, furikake and garlic powder. Dip fish strips in egg and then coat with crumb mixture. Fry quickly, turning once – do not overcook! Serve with salsa and optional garnishes.
